Reflection for Romeo and Juliet

I finished the short version of Romeo and Juliet a while ago and was very interested in it telling the life of poor Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet. At the beginning Romeo loved another woman named Rosaline, but she didn't love him back so he gets all depressed and his friend tells him to go to a party to cheer him up. The party was hosted by the Capulet family which hated the Montague family, but at the party Romeo meets Juliet and they fall in love. Now this part I was thinking Romeo just wanted a pretty woman and didn't want true love, but later in the story when Juliet pretends to be dead so she can stay with Romeo and when Romeo finds out Juliet is dead (didn't know she was pretending), he kills himself. After Juliet wakes up and find Romeo dead, she kills herself and both their families make peace. I only read the abridged version and not the authentic one, but i still thought it was pretty ironic how a plan trying to let them live together in peace ends up making both of them suicide. I guess that it's kind of Romeo's fault for killing himself (in the heat of the moment) causing Juliet to die. So I think what we can all learn from this story is to not lose hope and keep going on unlike Romeo, but maybe dying for the person you love is pretty romantic though, just............ pretty tragic.
